Operational Statement

The Vision Research Foundation (VRF) is a private, not-for-profit corporation chartered by the State of Michigan in 2005, engaging in the administration of tax deductible private gifts, industry-sponsored and government-sponsored programs.

Ophthalmic research studies conducted by the VRF include, but are not limited to, support of eye research to preserve vision and restore sight.

The VRF is governed by its own Board of Directors, issues its own independently audited financial statements in accordance with IRS 501.C3 regulations.

The VRF was created because the distinctive environment of sponsored programs demands flexibility and the capacity to respond quickly to a wide variety of conditions and changing sponsor requirements.
